We want the first collection to be useful before we ask owners to pay for it.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Luxury isn’t essential. Character is.

We particularly like characterful cottages and conversions, boutique apartments, farm stays, cabins and shepherd’s huts, independent hotels and inns, brilliant family or dog-friendly stays, romantic hideaways and simple properties in genuinely excellent locations.

A property does not need a cinema room and a swimming pool. Sometimes a brilliant two-bedroom cottage beside a great pub is exactly what somebody wants.

We review every application rather than accepting an unlimited directory.

Accepted properties get a profile connected to the destinations, features and guides that make sense.

A few useful answers

Do I have to stop using Airbnb or Booking.com?

No. The Founding Collection is non-exclusive.

Do you only want luxury properties?

No. We care more about character, location and guest experience than an arbitrary luxury label.

Will you take commission?

Not on bookings sent to your existing booking route during the Founding phase. Optional direct booking through Cotswold Stays is a future feature, not something we are claiming is live today.

What happens after the free year?

Our planned annual pricing is £149 Standard and £299 Featured, with preferential renewal terms for Founding properties before any paid pricing is introduced.
