Why we like it

Court Barn is the place that explains why Chipping Campden has such a strong craft and design identity. Rather than trying to cover every period of local history, the museum focuses on the designers and craftspeople who worked in the town and north Cotswolds from the early twentieth century onwards.

What to expect

It is a relatively small museum, so allow around an hour unless a particular exhibition pulls you in. The collection and temporary displays make a useful companion to wandering the High Street, especially if you are interested in the Arts and Crafts movement.

Good to know

The museum is step-free, has an accessible toilet and welcomes guide and hearing dogs. Under-25s currently receive free admission, while adult tickets are valid for a year.

Our tip

Pair Court Barn with St James’ Church and the Market Hall rather than driving between attractions — they are all part of the same compact town story.
